I have a BJs membership and would be happy to buy tires with you if you want.

    Awesome sauce, thanks :)

There’s a BJ’s near my office – I’ll pop over there at lunch and wander around a bit. If it looks like they’ve got enough there that I think it pays for me to get a membership than I might snag one on my own. If it looks like I’m only going to use it for tires and that’s it than I’d love to take you up on your offer.

My FiL buys his “good” meat from Costco. He says it’s cheaper and comparable to Wegman’s expensive cuts. Are y’all eating the flesh of critters? I mean, it’s all beefbasket cow, I’m sure, but we don’t expect to eat local critter when we visit family.

We only have Sam’s in Charlottesville. I buy my contacts, vinegar, baking soda, loratidine, batteries, and baby spinach there. Along with bar mops, flour sack towels, and washcloths for diaper duty, but those are a once every few year purchase. Tires, yes.

I buy most all my dry goods from costco. it’s seriously helpful. I also do all my actual physical photo printing through them.

Please to note: I buy flour in 25lb bags once every three months. I feed the four of us plus guests occasionally on about $125 a week.

We also have need for tires and probably wouldn’t mind purchasing industrial sized versions of saran wrap and aluminum foil once in a while.

I could be convinced to go in on a membership with you. :)

Chris and I joined the costco last month. So far we’ve had massive luck in terms of dry goods, canned goods, beverages, frozen items and meat. The 50 pound bag of rice for $28 may last us over a year. Other standouts were 36 bottles of iced tea for $9, 15 boxes of Mac and cheese for $8, 40 hot dogs for $8, and the 48 hamburger patties for 12. Chris is also now addicted to their cheese danishes, their heat and serve dinners are a good deal, and the bulk seasonings and spices are worth it. In all, Costco has been totally worth it. We’ve moved a lot of our primary grocery shopping over to costco, in order to bulk purchase.

Yeah, we’re feasting on the meat these days, so that might work. I checked out their selection and it’s definitely nice. I’d have to divide up the packages as soon as I bought them, but that’s not a huge deal.

I feed two people from Shaw’s on around $80 per week so that’s a pretty sizable savings there. From what I’m seeing of what they have there, it looks like it’s really worth it.

Excellent, you could be my complimentary spouse then :)

I’ll set it up and get that taken care of.

I have an extremely tiny pantry so I’ll have to be careful about purchasing 25 pound bags of anything, but it sounds like a lot of the dried goods I could store in the basement. With offering to go halves on a membership I really can’t turn that down.
